The Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI), a professional organization representing obstetricians and gynecologists in India, has granted a certificate of recognition to Sanjeevani Hospital, the only one in Jaipur Rural. Hospital director Dr. S. M. Yadav and manager Mukesh Kumar Yadav told that this certificate was given by Fogsi in a workshop organized by HLFPPT in Jaipur. The meaning of this recognition is that it ensures a dignified and safe delivery experience during childbirth by trained doctors and nursing personnel in the hospital. The purpose of recognition is to reduce maternal and child mortality. In the program, all the people associated with the medical profession congratulated Dr. SM Yadav and his team on the presentation of certificates by Dr. Hema Diwakar, former chairman of FOGSI and Dr. Leela Vyas, former vice-president.

Holoprosencephaly refers to group of disorder that arise from defective forebrain development during embryonic life .There are three types of holoprosencephaly : alobar, semilobar and lobar varieties. Alobar form (cyclopia) is most severe form of holoprosencephaly and it occurs in 1 in 1,00,000 newborn. Cyclopia is characterized by single midline orbit containing ocular structures. It can be monophthalmia,synophthalmia or anophthalmia.There is absence of nose or fetus can have nose in form of probocis above orbit.The fetus has monoventricle and there is lack of midline structures like corpus callosum or falx cerebri.There can be associated extracranial malformations. Most common syndrome associated with cyclopia syndrome is trisomy 13 .

The ongoing five-day mega sterilization camp at Kotputli Sanjeevani Hospital concluded on Tuesday. Hospital director Dr. SM Yadav informed that 2 men including 111 women were sterilized in the camp. Administrator Mukesh Yadav told that a check of Rs 1600 was given to each woman who underwent sterilization and Rs 2100 to the man. Also a set of 21 utensils was given. It is worth mentioning that Sanjeevani Hospital has been in the leading position in the private sector for the last five years in sterilization operation in Jaipur district. Since April this year, 1075 sterilization operations have been done by the hospital administration team.
